About this request
This page lets you request the permanent deletion of your OAU-Commerce account and the data associated with it. OAU-Commerce is developed and operated by the OAU-Commerce team in Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
How to request account deletion
- Fill in the form below with the email address (and username, if any) you used to sign up for OAU-Commerce.
- Submit the form. Your request is sent directly to our support team.
- We will verify ownership of the account by replying to the email you provide.
- Once verified, your account will be deleted within 30 days.
You can also email us directly at support@oaucommerce.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
Data that will be deleted
- Your profile (name, email, phone number, profile photo)
- Your listings, posts, comments, and forum activity
- Your chat messages and notification history
- Authentication credentials and session data
- Device tokens used for push notifications
Data that may be retained
- Transaction records — payment and order records are kept for up to 7 years to comply with Nigerian financial and tax law.
- Anonymised analytics — aggregated, non-identifying usage data may be retained indefinitely.
- Records required by law — content related to fraud, abuse, or active legal investigations may be retained as legally required.
All other personal data is permanently deleted from our systems and backups within 90 days.
