OAU-Commerce is a campus marketplace and student forum mobile application for the Obafemi Awolowo University community in Ile-Ife, Nigeria. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information for everyone who uses our app and services.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, and listing data. We also collect device information for security and performance, and payment information processed by Paystack — we do not store full card details on our servers.
How We Use Information
We use your information to provide and operate the service, send push notifications relevant to your account and listings, verify accounts, process payments through Paystack, and continuously improve the app experience.
Information Sharing
We do not sell user data. We share data only with the providers required to deliver the service: Paystack (for payments) and Expo (for push notifications). These providers process your data under their own privacy terms.
Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, and store data securely on Supabase infrastructure. While no online service can guarantee perfect security, we take continuous steps to protect your information.
Your Rights
You can access, update, or delete your account at any time directly from the app settings. If you need help, contact us at support@oaucommerce.com.
Children
OAU-Commerce is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
