Information reaching the Union today indicates that commuters travelling from *Campus Gate* to the *SUB BUS STOP* are being required to pay two tickets. The Union wishes to clarify that this implementation is not based on any concluded agreement between the Students’ Union, Guesstimates Company, and the University Management. Following the ongoing engagements involving the Students’ Union, Guesstimates Company, and the University Management, no mutually acceptable agreement has been reached regarding the proposed two-ticket policy. Consequently, the Director of Guesstimates Company has been directed to put the implementation of the two-ticket policy *on hold* pending further engagement and the reaching of a mutually acceptable resolution. For the avoidance of doubt, the existing one-ticket arrangement remains applicable: SUB Bus Stop → Gate : *One ticket.* Hall of Residence → SUB Bus Stop: *One ticket.* Furthermore, the Students’ Union, Guesstimates Company, and the University Management are still engaged in discussions regarding the transportation arrangement earlier proposed to commence on *October 1st* . Further information will be communicated to students once a definite agreement is reached. The Students’ Union remains committed to constructive engagement with the University Management and Guesstimates Company in ensuring that transportation arrangements on campus are fair, sustainable, and considerate of the interests of Great Ife students. Students are therefore urged to remain calm and await further official communication from the Students’ Union as discussions continue.
